Electrification Systems
VAHLE offers many different products to suit a variety of electrification systems or data communication applications. VAHLE associates are available to help select and recommend electrification system solutions and products for your specific application. Also, feel free to browse our product line.
Conductor Systems
Paul Vahle patented the original conductor bar in 1912 when he created the steel copperhead conductor bar system. This system is still in use today. Conductor systems are know by a variety of names including but not limited to: Buss bars, conductors, conductor bars, powerail, buzz bars, conductor rail, trolley bar, trolley duct, hot rail and enclosed rail.
Cable Management Systems
Cable management systems provide power via wire, cable and or hoses from a stationary source to a moving vehicle requiring power. The concept is the same as using an extension cord, but cable management systems keep the cable organized and are designed for the flexing and movement required for industrial use.
CPS - Contactless Power Supply
CPS® (Contactless Power System) is the contactless power transmission system from VAHLE. The power is transmitted inductively similar to the transformer principle along an "elongated" coil.
Battery Charging Contacts
A battery-charging contact consists of a contact plate, which is mounted on the floor in the track of the AGV (automatic guided vehicle) or, in some cases, also to the side, and a current collector, which is mounted on the AGV (automatic guided vehicle).
Data Communications Systems
VAHLE offer several types of data communication for mobile applications. Mobile electrification combined with data communication and vehicle positioning (see VAHLE APOS system) allows complete full automation for mobile equipment
