slotted microwave guideWith SMG, VAHLE is able to provide a fully secure, wireless, contactless and interference free data transmission system with available data rates up to 100Mbps. Full duplex communications, multiple interfaces and 3 distinct profiles make SMG a viable solution for any application. The SMG system operates using a specially designed housing that operates to keep the wireless transmission isolated within the housing, free of any outside interference. Additionally, this keeps the SMG from interfering with any additional equipment on site. A wireless signal is sent from the stationary transceiver through the SMG profile to the mobile transceiver via the antenna trolley.

SMG Profile Types

SMG-M – VAHLE SMG has been significantly reduced in size while featuring greatly enhanced capabilities. Designed with EMS and assembly automation in mind, SMG-M (SMG Mini) is a very compact data solution that seamlessly integrates with VAHLE’s conductor bar and positioning solutions. For indoor applications only with a data rate up to 100 Mbps.

SMG-X – VAHLE’s newest SMG solution, SMG-X combines the robust construction of SMG-T with the compact size of SMG-M. Developed specifically for the harsh environments of sea ports, SMG-X is unaffected by extreme environmental conditions while offering up to 100 Mbps of data transfer rate.
